We heard about baby camel races so we headed over but couldn't see them so much so we wandered around the grounds for a bit. A few men were giving away free camel rides so we thought "what could be better in Qatar than a camel ride!" There were no lines just pushing and cutting. It was quite frustrating...but I promised! So finally I stood up to the others and told the guy we were next and pushed us in. We went for about a 1 minute ride but honestly I was ready to be finished anyway! I held on to Ella with one hand and the saddle with the other...very tightly! When we got on the camel, he leaned WAY forward as his front legs were standing and his front legs were still low. I went into a panic! Then we equaled out and I could breathe again! Matt snapped the pic of us just in time b/c then it was over. And...we had to go through the crazy almost falling off thing again. Ella and I both walked a little "shaky-legged" for awhile but chalked it up to a unique experience. It isn't very often (or at all) that you get to ride a camel in the Middle East! :)
